Over 60% of residents are battling anxiety, and 49% have been diagnosed with depression, with a lack of support available, including personal comfort and support.

BOON'S Mission

Boon's mission is to provide connection, hope and love to our older members and residents of our community, and in turn improve physical and mental health outcomes.

CONNECTION

Relationship Building- Chaplains visit older members of our community to build friendships and connections.

Facilitating New Connections- Chaplains help to create new connections by hosting tea and other get togethers.

A pen pal system is planned for the future to expand on community engagement and connection.

HOPE

Spiritual Support- Hosting weekly church services at an aged care home and praying for anyone who would like prayer.

Faith discussions- Having conversations about God, life, death and spirituality from a hope filled perspective.

PURPOSE

Overcoming barriers- Health and mobility issues can be a barrier to living out purposeful living.

Our older community have a lifetime of beautiful and amazing experiences, heartbreak and joy, wisdom and learning experiences.

Storytelling Initiatives- With consent we conduct video interviews to capture life stories and messages.

Social media- Posting interview clips on our social media platforms to reach the wider community.

30% of all net profits (profit after expenses) are used to fund Boon's ministry, including the wages of our chaplains, expenses needed for hosting lunches and other events, and blessing the older residents we are connecting with.
